nodpage workspace: privacy policy
Effective 30 October 2026
This policy is the information notice under Articles 13 and 14 GDPR for the nodpage workspace in the cloud: the workspace at nodpage.com/app/ and other nodpage cloud nodes, including pages opened through guest links. The website and its waiting list are covered by the general policy.
1. Data controller
The controller is Ambartsum Amayakyan, the creator of nodpage. For any question about this document or your data, email amik@amik.am.
2. Data processed
- Account: username, name, email address, hashed password and PIN, and a device cookie that keeps you signed in.
- Content: documents, comments and files that you and your colleagues add to the workspace. They are stored so that the people you give access to can see them, and are not used for anything else.
- Guest links: the number of times each link was opened, without the guest’s IP address or browser.
- Usage statistics (Chapp): for signed-in members, the pages opened, the buttons and links clicked (button text up to 60 characters and its position on the page), time on each page and the project space it belongs to, linked to the member’s account ID. Form fields, text you type, document content, mouse movements and screen recordings are never recorded.
Guests who open a link without signing in see a consent banner. Without consent, only cookieless page counts and a daily total of time per page are kept, with no visitor attached. With consent, the _chapp_v cookie is set for up to 400 days, and clicks, time and path are recorded as for members, without an account number. The choice is kept in a consent log: time, choice, language and banner version, without an IP address.
3. Purpose and who sees the statistics
Account and content data are used to run the workspace. Usage statistics help us see what to improve. The owner of a project space sees the activity of people in that space; each member sees their own history; the platform owner sees all statistics. Statistics are not used for advertising, profiling for third parties or automated decisions with legal effects.
4. Legal basis
Account, content and members’ usage statistics: performance of the contract under which you use the workspace (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). Guests’ detailed statistics and the _chapp_v cookie: consent given in the banner (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Cookieless counting: legitimate interest in running and improving the service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
5. Storage and recipients
Data is stored on Hetzner Online GmbH servers in Falkenstein, Germany; Hetzner acts as the hosting provider. Backup copies are kept on the same server. Data is not sold or shared with third parties, and the workspace has no advertising pixels or third-party counters.
6. Retention
Account and content: kept while the account exists and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request. Detailed usage statistics: 13 months. Daily totals by page, with no member or visitor attached, are kept without a time limit. Backup copies keep deleted data for up to five more weeks.
7. Your rights
Under Articles 15–22 GDPR you can ask what is recorded about you, receive a copy of your account data and your usage history, have it corrected, deleted or restricted, object to processing based on legitimate interest and withdraw consent. Guests withdraw consent with the “Statistics settings” link in the page panel: the cookie is deleted, and statistics already recorded are no longer linked to the browser. For other requests, email amik@amik.am; you will receive a reply within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in the EU country where you live or work, or where the alleged infringement took place.
8. Changes
New versions are published on this page with their effective date.
